International Relations

International Projects of the University:

Every year, the International University «MITSO» holds at least 8 international events, in which the representatives of 24 countries have already taken part.


International Law Competition «Youth for Peace» is an annual student competition on international law, a unique project in Eastern Europe. In 2015, the Competition will take place the 10th time. In the previous 9 years student teams from 38 countries participated in the competition.

Logistics International Olympiad among students and school children is the only project on this subject in the Republic of Belarus, first launched in April 2011.

International Competition of Scientific Studies on Labour law of students and undergraduates named after Lev Semenovich Tal.

International Activity:

About 40 foreign partner universities around the world: Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Hungary, Italy, the UK and others.

Extensive network of international relations and active academic mobility: over the last few years students and lecturers of the university have visited higher educational institutions and have taken part in numerous international events in more than 25 countries: Armenia, Austria, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Spain, China, Cuba, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, USA, Ukraine and Switzerland.

The students of the University are participants, awardees and winners of prestigious International Law competitions: the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (USA), the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition (Netherlands), the Jean-Pictet Competition (Switzerland), the F.F. Martens International Humanitarian Law Moot Competition (RF), the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Austria, Vienna), the International Moot Competition on World Trade Organization Law (Lithuania), Manitoba International Competition (Canada), Eurasian Competition on International Commercial Mediation (RF), the International Competition on International Law (Latvia).

Only in the 2014/2015 academic year, students of «MITSO» participated and successfully presented our country in the 9 major international competitions, championships and Olympiads on economics, management and law. So, the team of our university the fourth year have won the national round of the competition on public international law, named after F. Jessup, and the fourth time presented our country in the international rounds of the competition in Washington. The result of participation at the International Rounds is written work of our team entered top 30 of the best and took the 5th position, and three members of the team got into top 100 of the best speakers. In the entire history of the team competition the team from our country has achieved such results for the first time! In addition, in the current academic year, the undergraduate of our University Natalia Krukovskaya was recognized as the best speaker of the competition on international humanitarian law named after FF Martens and the student of the second course Vitaly Ostrovsky has become the best speaker in the contest «Model of the International Criminal Court – 2015» in Moscow. In addition, the team of the International University «MITSO» got into the quarterfinals of the International Competition on investment arbitration, which took place in Germany. For the first time in the history of the competition the team from Belarus has reached such a high level and took the fifth place.

To support the initiatives of students and further stirring up of international academic mobility of students, 4 times a year the University announces a competition of grants to finance overseas academic trips and student participation in international conferences, seminars, competitions, summer schools.

The university regularly hosts public lectures in Russian and English with the assistance of foreign experts from the United States, Spain, France, Brazil, Israel, Argentina, Italy, Great Britain, Colombia and other countries (22 public lectures, 6 full courses of lectures for 2014).

Every year more than 250 students, undergraduates and staff of the International University «MITSO» have excursions and educational tours abroad.

More than 100 students from 15 countries study at the University.
